The Ring

Last Saturday will certainly be an important milestone in my life.

December 8, 2007.

The day I got engaged to the greatest girl in the world.

The venue? A nice suburban neighbourhood in Puchong.
The time? A cool, breezy night around 8 pm.
The feeling? A good mixture of nervousness, happiness and a pinch of worriedness.

It went pretty well. Pretty well here means everyone went home happy without any complaints. If there were complaints, it was probably on the distance of the place. Hey, at least it's not Sabak Bernam (not that there's anything wrong with Sabak Bernam)

The food was great. The people were beautiful. And my family was happy. I had some friends come over too. And I had a great photographer as well *wink* wink*

You don't know how great it feels to have close friends by your side on important events in your life. It's a Mastercard moment. Priceless.

It's just sad that Papa and EE couldn't make it to the event. Papa because of his condition and EE, well she had to look after him and the baby. It was an emotional moment when Papa hugged me before we left for Puchong. You don't know how that really broke me. If it's one thing I crave from him, is that I hope I made him proud.

So a big THANK YOU to all who attended. You know who you are. I'm sorry I didn't make a huge announcement before the event. It was supposed to be a small family affair, but it turned out to be more than that. Don't worry. I'll make sure there's proper publicity before the big day. Thanks a lot guys and gals. I love you to bits.

To my fiance' (wow! I can't believe I could use that term), thanks a lot for being a great host. My family had nothing but kind words for the treatment and warmth you showered us with. I'm so glad I have you. I love you darling.

Six months and counting!
