Ramadhan is here once again. I'm grateful I'm still here to greet the Holy Month.
The fasting month is always melancholic to me. In a good way, that is. Oh well, I might be the hopeless romantic here, but why shouldn't I? Maybe it's the waking up at early dawn to have sahur with the family. Maybe it's the sights and smells of the various servings on offer at the Pasar Ramadhan. Maybe it's the gathering at the table during Maghrib for iftar. Maybe it's the hustle and bustle of people rushing for prayers when the azan is called, signaling the Isya' prayers and tarawikh that goes on after it.
Whatever it is, it is certainly a special month. A new Ramadhan always brings with it a new hope and new start for a better me. Certainly on the spiritual side. But not forgetting my life in general too. Here's to a fulfilling and memorable month. Have a happy and blessed Ramadhan to all.
